i chose to make a video with audio for this project.
i decided to use pictures that represented me in some sord of way and music that had to do with were i am from what i like to dance and one of my favorite songs.
it was pretty simple for me to know what i wanted to do for the reason that i know what i like and i know what i represent or what represents me.
it made it easier for me to find what i wanted and to put it all together

i want this project to be and extend to my prtrait. i think that researching more about myself will help me know and see what my life was and is and will be. it is very important to me to talk about the things that i grew up with and the media and technology that has surrounded me as i grew up and how this became such an important factor in my life. i would also like people to seee my culture and the traditions because there is always something new to learn. i will present this as a video, becasue it is the best way i can reveal myself and i would like to speak some of the words and write as well. i would like to speak, because i think that its important to know how i am expressing myself. i also want to include pictures and videos. i want my audiance to see, seel, hear and know what i am talking about and what i mean.

i think that the importance of this book is the fact of how much a person is willing to take for their freedom. freedom has everything to with this. the government seemed to be taking over peoples lives little by little but this one teenager was not about to let them get away with it. Marcus stood up for his freedom and did what he thought was right. he fought until he got what he wanted and to him that was pride and glory. he knew that his own country was in danger and that the government was the bad guy. when he got caught,yes he was scared but he didnt give up. he kept going and fighting for his rights as an american.

As the generations pass technology becomes more advanced, there is more electronics being brought up with a simple way of working them. In today’s society technology has become a bigger use of the everyday life. One can’t go on without their cell phones or Bluetooth and computers. In my personal life technology wasn’t always a big need. it has become so advanced that many have the need t always have an electronic in hand. it has become to many a necesity rather than just a luxury. I was able to be one of those people who i didnt need to have all of those things, because to me it wasn’t as important. to me it was just a way to stay in touch or in case of an emergency.as time went by and i got older i started looking at everything in a different way. Now i seem to have a problem when i go somewhere without my cell phone and for a while I wasn’t hooked on it, if i didnt have it i felt like if there was something missing and i needed it. Then the day came when I had to go to college and that necessity became stronger for me. My cell phone has become something that I use all the time and that i have to have at all times. Another object has become very important to me is my laptop. it is something that i need to have with me whenever i go somewhere were i know im going to be able to have internet. technology can reach us in many different ways, it can become more of our lives little by little with out us even knowing.
Moving away and going to college has definitely become a big step to me using technology a lot more. I started using my laptop everyday especially because most of my classes require me to use the internet and type papers. I use my laptop almost every day of the week and it has become a must have and must use all the time. I also have to check my e-mail for anything that a professor has put up or anything that has to do with or without school. I also use it more because I chat with my friends from back home that I have not seen in a while. It is a big help to stay in touch and to know what is going on and I wouldn’t be able to do that if I didn’t have my laptop. I have the need that if i travel somewhere, i have to take it with me. i constantly have to be checking everything, but these are not the only reasons for my laptop; i also type a lot, its almost like having a journal in my laptop. i also use it for music and for games.laptops in today’s society have become very popular. People all over the world have found a good use of having a laptop. the fact that it is portable and you could take care of business and other important things away from an office or home. In the other hand my laptop has not been the only resource that I use to stay in touch I also have a mobile phone.
My cell phone at the beginning was not a big deal, I was able to not look at it or be on it for a good while. What I would do is that I would leave it in my room, close the door and leave. It felt like if I had more time with my family or to do other things around the house or outside. Now that I am out of my house and far from my home I like to keep in touch and well I have to talk to my parents and siblings. To be honest I am on my cell phone all the time. I text a lot more than I ever have and I have never talked on the phone so much. I need to keep in touch with my mom, especially her; I need to talk to her about anything that is happening around me or what I’m going through. It is amazing how much I have changed when it comes to technology; I have never thought that I would be one of those people who were in need of their electronics. I think that sooner or later people see how much they just can’t go on with out technology. As of today I cannot get away from my cell phone because I’m worried that someone from back home is going to call me with an emergency and I worry that I’m going to miss the call. Cell phones have become the biggest part of today’s society. It would be very aukward to not see someone that doesnt have a cell phone just for the fact that almost everyone has one, even ten year old kids have cell phones, now. It has becoe such a luxury that it is hard to not have the new coolest phone out there. it doesn’t even matter how expensive it is, that person will find a way to pay for it.Even though, I am using technology in a good matter it also has its effects.
I am able to control the usage of my cell phone most of the time, but when things get boring and I don’t have anything else to do that’s when my phone comes in handy to me.The effects of having this device is that when one is driving, we tend to put more attention at the cell phone than at the road. When this starts to happen society starts to have more problems becasue people get hurt. if the phone rings and we cant find it we have to keep looking for it wen it is simple to just let the call go. In the united states they have had to band texting and talking on the cell phone while driving. It has become such a distraction to many people who it had to be a law to be enforced. Not only can technology be a distraction in a car but also during class or work. We are always wanting to be updated on everything and not looking at our electronics makes it very difficult. Students are not able to concentrate in class because they are so busy texting. and for this reason the abandonment of this source has been approved.
Technology has its ups and downs. overall it has been a great way to get things done faster and to communicate with those far and close to us. Lets just not forget what it really is for and not make it to the point were we have to live on it to be able to survive. I dont think the one should be depended on electronics and other sorts of technology. it has made us see and exprince the bad side to being on the cell phone while driving and the distraction of texting during class. These are things that we have to notice and see for ourselves that it is a very effective way to get distracted. technology is somethig that we need to be able to need when neccessary, but it shouldn’t have to be a luxury.

There is a large variety of communication inwhich we an get in touch easily. technology has become important because everyone wants the new phone for texting, people want whats new in the industry of communication. We have more knowledge on how to use the technology in able to get a message accross. Technology has changed people in the way that we don’t see what we really need. We can spend so much money on an accesory for our phones or to buy a new phone that we don’t see that we could use that money for a better use.
In my own experience i started with the e-mailing and instant messaging when i was in 5th grade. itwasnt a chat thing, my brother at that time had gone to Iraq for the war and that was the easiest communication with him. it would take a while but it hapenned. it was the only way that i was able to tak to him or to even see him because we would webcam. When i first got a cell phone i was 15 and didnt have texting but i had a phone. Texting for me started t the end of my sophmore year, everyone was already into it,i was kind of slow.
as time went by i got really good at the whole texting thing that my parents thot it would be better if just got unlimited like that i wouldnt go over my tex or my minutes. it did change me though, because i was the type of person that woud actually like to have a convesation on the phone i liked knowing howthe other person was responding, but then people stopped answering my calls and would tex me “did you call?”. Now i know who i can call and who i have to tex or which people i could only find on myspace. its a variety of communication that i could use. Just for the reason that some will actually answer the phone and others will text bak.

usually when i visit a website i know if it is reliable because of what comes after the “.”. when there is a “.org” it’s usually a good source to use it contains true information and is reliable. other ones would be like “.gov” or “.net”. another good way to look for a good source would be going on to a website and looking for journals, articles and books online. this is more reliable for the fact that it’s a cool website,so it is more likely that they are not going to give you false information. other useful information sites would be going on to the National Geographic website or the Discovery or History channel website. all of these websites contain useful information to the public and do carry true information, for the reason that it contains a lot of information that could be helpful. Newspapers have their own websites as well that are very reliable to the public, especially when you want to know about current events i think that the newspaper website is a really good idea to visit.
